We are loving these new updates to Google Classroom!

The new school year is rapidly approaching and Google is getting you amp'd up with some new features to streamline your Google Classroom. We are super excited to share these updates with you and help you incorporate them into your daily workflow.

New Easy Interface

Classroom has a new simplified design for creating and posting assignments, announcements, questions and for viewing assignment details.

Click on the "+" sign to add content to your course.

Post questions to your class

Plan ahead or check for understanding on the fly. Post questions for students to respond to or hold a class discussion right in the stream. Students answer the question in the class stream, and teachers have the option to grade answers.

Choose to allow students to edit their own answer, and to see and reply to classmates’ answers.

Reuse a post

You can reuse existing posts (announcements, assignments, questions) from a current or previous class.

Promote a post to the top of the class stream

Prioritize your assignments by moving any post to the top of the stream.

Optional Due Dates

Doing long term assignments? No problem, you now have the option to create assignments that don’t have due dates.

Coming Soon...

Google will also be releasing a Google Calendar integration for students to manage and track assignment due dates as well as a Google Forms integration. These updates are not yet live, but are coming in a few weeks! We will be sure to keep you updated on them when they come!
