In a 30 minute Skype visit, Robin will read a picture book or novel chapter (sometimes from a work in progress), talk all about her writing process (from inspiration to final editing), and then answer questions from the class (on writing, reading, or oddball animals). If it's cold outside you may even meet her tortoise Marigold! About Robin: I am the author of the nonfiction picture book, THEY JUST KNOW: ANIMAL INSTINCTS, and the absolutely-not-nonfiction middle grade novel, THE MIDNIGHT WAR OF MATEO MARTINEZ. A former classroom teacher, I now teach outdoor education as a "Backyard Naturalist" at my local Natural History Museum. I'm available to give lessons on writing, revision, animal instincts, and love to do book talks from my home library.
